New and rare Pyrex is still being found at yard sales, estate sales, online marketplaces, thrift stores and antique stores. My advice is so study the standard and promotional pieces so that you will be able to quickly identify when a Pyrex seems “out of the ordinary.” Below are some of the unusual finds in the last few months.
Found at a yard sale.
Turquoise Stripe Sandalwood found on Facebook Marketplace. Appears to be a 444 or 443.
Previously unknown 403 found in Rochester, New York.
Pyrex Golden Sunflower Cinderella bowls 442 and 444 found at a thrift store. The bowls were priced separately so it is unclear if they were donated as a set.
What makes this lid unusual is the use of gold and color enamel to decorate it as opposed to engravings.
